2023 in Review: Achievements, Collaborations and Growth

As we’re getting ready to take the new year by storm, we thought we’d take some time to acknowledge everything our hard-working team achieved throughout 2023.

Throughout the year, we dedicated ourselves to creating a range of valuable resources tailored for businesses of all sizes and sectors who are navigating the digital space.

From new eBook releases to impactful collaborations and industry engagements, we’re proud to share our insights.

Achievements and Collaborations

We kicked off 2023 by introducing our free series of comprehensive eBooks, focusing on digital topics and collaborating with industry experts like WordPress VIP, WP Engine and Web Usability.

Through these collaborations we’ve produced 5 insightful guides covering web accessibility, personalisation, website performance, sustainability and most recently web security.

We also appeared on respected podcasts such as WP Tavern, Small Spark Theory, This Week in WordPress and our very own podcast, UnFILTERed.

That’s right, we had a truly original thought and decided to start our own video podcast, featuring co-hosts Paul Halfpenny (FILTER Co-founder and CTO) and Nathan Wrigley of WP Tavern. Each episode features a different digital expert and breaks down an important business topic, watch the latest episode now.

Our Highlight of 2023

Our highlight of 2023 has to be attending WordCamp Europe with our team. It was great to represent our agency amongst the WordPress community and attend a variety of speaker sessions, all while taking in the beautiful scenery of Athens, Greece.

If you’ve been following our agency for a while, you may know about our very own personalisation plugin, PersonalizeWP (formerly known as WP-DXP). During this trip, we had the opportunity to pitch for investment with event sponsors, Emilia Capital.

Our CTO, Paul Halfpenny, gave a successful pitch and we’ve been working together ever since to push the plugin to the next level. One of the first steps was to create brand guidelines and build a new website, which has recently gone live.

We’re excited to see what 2024 has in store for PersonalizeWP – make sure to visit the website and see if you could benefit from installing the plugin!

Agency Growth and New Partnerships

Throughout the year, we welcomed several new team members and had the pleasure of working with some wonderful clients.

We introduced new partnerships such as becoming a member of Silicon Brighton – an excellent initiative for digital enthusiasts. We also announced our partnership with the Inside Out Community and started our collaborative efforts. Since then we helped them to replatform their website and utilise new and improved digital solutions.

As a BIMA member, we were proud that Rachel Berry (Head of Client Services) and Si Cooke (Head of Business Development) were selected to be judges in the 2023 BIMA Awards. This was an interesting process and we were honoured to be part of it.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the digital community, we attended several amazing events such as BrightonSEO, Big WP with WordPress VIP, Ignite with WP Engine and WordCamp Europe. We ended the year by attending State of the Word in Madrid, where we heard from Matt Mullenweg on the future of WordPress.

After stepping into the new year, our focus is to maintain our continuous growth, set ambitious goals and to keep pushing boundaries in the digital landscape.
