With ambition for continued growth, Medivet were acutely aware of the need to upgrade their online offering to recognise their existing valued clients.

Delivering a future-fit platform ready for increased personalisation, CRM and external integration. After recommending the development of a new platform built on Episerver, we were also retained to assist in delivery and ongoing management for the future.

Together we have delivered

Filter has now taken over the development roadmap for the website, co-ordinating and supporting future integrations to continue to place Medivet clients at the heart of all interactions. To date we have achieved year on year session growth, reduced mobile load time, improved local search.

Objective

The key objective for the project was the update of the Medivet website to deliver a future-fit platform ready for increased personalisation, CRM and external integration.

Episerver fitted the brief as a central content hub that could provide an AI-powered customer-centric experience, delivering content to any future apps and Medivet’s bespoke reminders service, allowing all areas of the business to assist in content creation and management.

Key to the work was a successful migration from their existing Umbraco site, retaining their search profile, at the same time as the rollout of a new brand for the company.

Approach and Technology

We took the decision to host Episerver using their Content Cloud, which provides a managed service for the CMS. This approach meant that the development process could focus on components and UI interface instead of needing to spend time on server setup and scaling.

Development

The development (completed by Netcel) coincided with refreshed branding for Medivet, which allowed the design team to create a more refined front-end experience than was previously achievable. The use of whitespace and hand-drawn illustrations provide feelings of safety and personality.

It also meant that a strong focus could be put on search – clean and clear templating meant that the information presented was easier for visitors to read and understand, and metadata was integrated into the code so that search engines could find the additional detail required to optimise search results.

Speed was also important – and the Episerver managed cloud provides exceptional caching mechanisms, ensuring that page load speed is reduced to a minimum.
