Filter Festivities & Giving Back

As the festive season comes to an end, we wanted to conclude the year by explaining how we celebrate the holidays at Filter.

A virtual holiday gathering shows sixteen people smiling and waving while wearing Santa hats and festive attire. The participants are arranged in a grid layout, and holiday-themed frame decorations surround the image.

As the year comes to a close and we all start logging off for the holidays (or for a much needed break to recharge if you don’t participate), we wanted to explain how we celebrate the festive season at Filter.

Although we are a remote-first team, we are still a tight-knit community and we love nothing more than to give back around the holidays. One way we do this is with a donation to a charity, this year we took suggestions from our team and put it to a vote.

As Christmas is the time for giving back, we took the top 3 suggestions and decided to donate to all of them – the charities our team chose were:

Action For Children

Action for Children protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. The charity makes sure their voices are heard and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Find out more about Action For Children here.

Motor Neurone Disease Association

The MND Association’s Christmas Appeal helps to fund vital services for children, young people and families who have been affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Read more about the MND Association here.

RSPCA

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has been supporting animal welfare since 1824 and continues to rescue animals in need. Learn more about the RSPCA here.

We also organised a holiday gift for every member of our team, which included a range of eco-friendly treats with a twist. We worked with WellBox to deliver our gifts and this included the donation of a meal to someone in need over the holiday period via the Barnabus charity.

It’s important to us and our team that we give back and support deserving causes throughout the year.

December is always a busy month so we opted for a virtual festive social to make things easier and more accessible for our team. We got together to talk about our highlights from 2022 and then we had some snacks while playing online Pictionary. After that, we moved on to complete an interactive quiz that our marketing team had put together.

We’re thankful that we are in a position to give back to the causes that mean a lot to us and we hope to continue this holiday tradition for many years to come.

We’re also thankful for our dedicated team who have worked hard throughout the year to complete a number of successful projects for our clients.

We will be taking a well deserved break from the 24th December and we will be back as normal from the 3rd January 2023.
