What is the BIMA 100?

The BIMA 100 is one of the most respected recognition programmes in the UK’s digital and technology industry. Run by the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), it celebrates the 100 individuals who are shaping the future of Britain’s digital landscape each year. Unlike traditional awards that focus on campaigns or projects, the BIMA 100 is entirely about people. It celebrates the leaders, innovators, strategists, and rising stars making a real impact across the sector.

Now in its latest edition, the programme spans 11 categories covering everything from CEOs and senior leaders to AI and tech pioneers, young talent, creatives, and strategists. Nominations are assessed through two rigorous rounds of judging, with over 100 expert judges working across categories to identify the final 100.

Our involvement

As co-founders of Filter, both Olly and Paul bring a combined perspective that spans technology strategy, platform engineering, digital product development, and agency leadership. Having spent years working at the intersection of technology and business transformation they’re well-placed to assess the calibre of talent driving the UK’s digital industry forward.

Being invited to judge the BIMA 100 reflects Filter’s growing profile within the wider digital community and our commitment to recognising excellence across the sector.

Why it matters

Industry recognition programmes like the BIMA 100 play a vital role in celebrating the people behind the technology. In an industry that moves as quickly as ours, it’s important to pause and acknowledge the individuals whose vision, leadership, and technical innovation are genuinely moving things forward.

For Filter, this is also an opportunity to contribute to the broader conversation about what great digital leadership looks like in 2026, whether that’s pioneering the use of AI, championing inclusive talent pipelines, or delivering transformational technology programmes for major brands.

A strong year for Filter

This judging appointment caps off an exciting period for Filter. We were recently shortlisted at the 2026 UK Digital Excellence Awards in the Standout Platform/Technology/Tool category for our WordPress products PersonalizeWP and Filter AI, and we continue to invest in our positioning as a platform-agnostic technology partner for ambitious mid-market businesses.

We’re looking forward to reading through the nominations and helping to identify this year’s BIMA 100. The ceremony takes place in May 2026, and we’ll be sure to share our reflections once the final list is revealed.
