Medivet – New Practice Page Templates

Medivet is committed to providing exceptional pet care through its network of 400+ practices across the UK, Germany and Spain, including 27 24-hour care centres. Their services span everything from routine check-ups to advanced treatments, grooming and cattery services.

With rapid growth through acquisitions and an expanding range of services, Medivet needed new practice pages that could scale while ensuring consistency and clarity across practice pages.

Introduction

Refining UX and Templates to Support Medivet’s Growth and Customer Experience

Filter worked with Medivet as part of an existing long-term contract in managing their corporate website to enhance the scalability and usability of their practice pages.

As the company grew through acquisitions, the variety of services offered at each practice demanded greater flexibility, without losing consistency in the customer experience.

Through UX/UI refinements, custom block development and optimisation of existing templates within the Optimizely DXP, Filter delivered a tailored solution that supports different practice types, while making content easier for Medivet’s team to manage and optimised for SEO performance.

The Challenge

Medivet’s practice network was expanding rapidly, but its existing hybrid templates couldn’t effectively handle the variety of services offered.

Some practices provided only core veterinary care, while others included grooming or cattery services. This created inconsistency across the site and made it harder for customers to quickly find relevant information.

Medivet needed a solution that could accommodate these variations at scale while ensuring a consistent, user-friendly experience.

Our Approach

We worked closely with Medivet to identify the most common practice types and agreed on a design system flexible enough to handle all variations.

By reconfiguring templates within their existing Optimizely DXP and introducing new custom blocks, we gave editors more control while streamlining the customer experience.

Analytics insights, such as heatmaps provided through MS Clarity guided the new hierarchy of messaging to ensure the most relevant information, such as services, opening hours and booking options, were clear and accessible.

Results

The new practice pages give Medivet a scalable framework for growth, maintaining brand consistency while allowing each location to highlight its unique services.

Their online registration offering and piloted features like repeat prescription ordering further bridge the gap between digital and in-practice experiences.

This work ensures Medivet’s digital presence reflects the same commitment to exceptional pet care found in their practices.

Why This Story Matters

For growing organisations with complex services across multiple locations, consistency and flexibility can be difficult to achieve at scale.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful UX design, content strategy and technical execution can transform a digital platform into a powerful tool that supports both customers and internal teams. By tailoring templates and content workflows, Filter helps businesses maintain brand clarity while accommodating growth and service diversity.

If your organisation is expanding and your digital platform is struggling to keep pace, this case study shows how the right approach can deliver both immediate improvements and a long-term foundation for success.
