Selhurst Park, home of Crystal Palace F.C., provides a unique venue to showcase the high-octane action of the English Premier League. As the club has continued to establish itself, it has consistently reinvested to improve the matchday experience, working tirelessly to improve facilities, food and service.

By expanding the website with a strong emphasis on SEO, the club’s highly targeted targeted marketing activity has led to a significant increase in traffic and enquiries for seasonal & matchday packages.

Project Overview

With the increasing demand to watch live Premier League football, it was recognised by the club that the Premium Matchday experience could be improved to provide a first-class experience.

Considerable investment continues to be directed towards creating new and improved lounges, with a variety of matchday package options on offer. To support this effort, we worked with the club to create a standalone website to better showcase the matchday lounges and packages on offer and to make it easy for fans and corporates to book a day to remember.

Our Approach & Technology

The dedicated Premium Matchday website was developed using WordPress, integrating various plugins such as Gravity Forms for receiving enquiries, Yoast to support with on page SEO optimisation and Tawk.to allowing for real time customer service.

We also built hi-resolution, 3D models of a variety of lounges using Matterport, allowing for visual imagery to be rendered as accurate 3D experiences and giving fans the opportunity to walk-through each of the lounges. These 3D models incorporate additional detail about the features of each space which are revealed as the visitor navigates the space.

Performance & Results

By implementing an effective analytics framework and reporting system, we have been able to track performance on their digital estate, and were able to report positive outcomes from the investment in the site:

The site continues to evolve, with the custom Beaver Builder modules in place providing the marketing team with complete control to create new landing pages when new initiatives are brought online.
