Filter Team Embrace Remote Working

There has been much talk in recent weeks about how agencies have adapted to working from home.

Might it become the new normal?
Working-From-Home

Here at Filter, although we currently no longer meet at our HQ in London, we haven’t experienced any negative side effects of the whole team working virtually.

We have embraced the virtual meeting room. Zoom and Google Hangouts have allowed us to communicate effectively via video, with breakout groups assisting and encouraging human interaction.

We continue to use Slack as a tool to chat with each other, either through a private message or group. It means that we can send quickfire requests, comments and feedback without the pressure of writing a full email response.

Crucially for us, we’ve introduced daily stand-ups. These 9am virtual meetings have been essential for the whole team and has allowed everyone to have visibility across all projects and workstreams. Not only have they supported the continuation of projects, prioritised daily tasks and ownership, they have also encouraged the sharing of ideas and opportunities to tackle digital challenges. It’s provided space to be creative, chat through possibilities and has kick-started the creation of several new products currently in development.

With a team that spans London, Edinburgh and Amsterdam our transition to full-time home working has been relatively smooth. This forced new way of working has allowed us to connect more often and has generated some insightful and interesting discussions that potentially would never have happened in the office.

TRANSFORMATIONAL WORK COMES FROM COLLABORATION
