Job Description

We’re looking for a Python/AI Developer to lead and deliver technical work across a range of projects involving large language models, vector search, and modern AI tooling.
You’ll be working as part of our fully remote team, contributing to both client delivery and internal product development. You’ll take ownership of AI-focused systems and pipelines, designing, building and evaluating solutions that integrate with real-world products.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong Python experience and a working knowledge of the latest AI models and frameworks.
This is a full-time role, working remotely, but you must be based in the UK or EU.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based services and microservices
  • Integrate LLMs via APIs and open-source model frameworks
  • Design and implement prompt engineering and evaluation pipelines
  • Manage processing and preparation of text datasets for training/inference
  • Implement semantic search using vector databases
  • Contribute to architecture and deployment of AI systems
  • Collaborate with developers, strategists and designers on technical delivery
  • Write documentation and contribute to development standards

Requirements & Skills

The right person is likely to have these skills:

  • Strong Python skills and experience with ML/AI libraries
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and open-source models
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and response evaluation
  • Familiarity with vector databases
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock
  • Experience with RAG pipelines and model evaluation frameworks
  • Experience with REST APIs and deployment of production services
  • Ability to design robust technical solutions and work independently

Nice to Have

Experience or interest in the following would be a bonus:

  • Exposure to model training, fine-tuning or hosted open-weight models
  • Experience with Docker, serverless deployment or cloud platforms
  • Previous experience working on production AI systems

Culture

We’re a family-orientated business and value a working environment that helps us to spend time out of work. That means we normally work UK standard hours (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5.30pm) and don’t typically work weekends. If you work with us as a contract developer, we’d expect that you are able to join regular daily progress calls during our working hours.
