Job Description

We are looking for a talented self-driven AWS Cloud Engineer to join our development team, to support the delivery of current and upcoming projects.

The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of our cloud infrastructure whilst optimising performance and ensuring the security of critical data.

Roles & Responsibilities

The right person will be achieve the following in this role:

  • Configure and maintain AWS workloads ensuring reliability and performance
  • Develop and implement automation to streamline and improve processes
  • Implement cloud security best practices ensuring data protection compliance
  • Monitor infrastructure and services, proactively addressing performance issues
  • Work with teams ensuring seamless service integration and delivery
  • Conduct root cause analysis and work with developers
  • Attend daily stand-ups and maintain project tickets

Experience

The right person will be have the following experience:

  • 3+ years AWS services experience including VPC, SSM, EC2, EFS
  • 3+ years cloud infrastructure deployment, administration, automation experience
  • Excellent network operations and cloud security protocols understanding
  • Hands-on experience with CloudWatch or other monitoring
  • Excellent cloud security knowledge including IAM, encryption, groups
  • AWS certifications as Cloud Practitioner or SysOps Administrator desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The right person will be able to:

  • Explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Respond positively to changing priorities
  • Work under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Use strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements

The right person will:

  • Be available for occasional after-hours support when needed
  • Travel for industry events, client and team meetings
  • Have flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities
