Job description
We’re looking for a talented, self-driven QA Engineer to join our engineering team and help deliver current and upcoming work. You’ll make sure our web, mobile and custom software applications are high quality and reliable, through thorough testing, bug identification and quality assurance. You’ll work with an experienced, friendly team that takes pride in its work. If you’d like to help build and run systems that businesses depend on, we’d love to hear from you. This is a remote role for applicants based in the UK.
Roles and responsibilities
The right person will achieve the following in this role:
- Work with teams to define comprehensive testing strategies
- Ensure testing strategies align with project goals and standards
- Create and maintain test plans, cases and data sets
- Design and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks
- Execute automated and manual test suites for regression testing
- Report defects clearly with reproduction steps and results
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for early detection
- Attend daily stand-ups and maintain project tickets
Experience
The right person will have the following experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
- Experience working on complex web, mobile and custom applications
- Experience working with the Appium automation framework
- Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO or Cypress automation tools
- Experience with the page object model for test design
- Experience integrating tests with cross-browser tools
- Version control systems and collaborative development experience
Knowledge, skills and abilities
The right person will be able to:
- Explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Respond positively to changing priorities
- Work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Use strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional requirements
The right person will:
- Be available for occasional after-hours support when needed
- Travel for industry events, client and team meetings
- Have flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities
