Reflecting On Earth Day – Friday 22nd April 2022

This year marks the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day, a campaign first started back in 1970. The charity now works with over 150,000 global partners in 192 countries to ‘diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide’.

Earth Day

To celebrate this years campaign, we’d like to tell you how we take action every day to be sustainable, even the smallest of actions can have an impact. A more sustainable world starts with all of us.

5 ways we are environmentally conscientious:

  • We are a remote-first company which means each member of the Filter team works from their own location. This reduces travel and minimises carbon emissions (it’s also great for work-life balance and many other aspects)
  • We very rarely conduct client meetings face-to-face and if we do, we always encourage the use of public transport
  • We are a completely paperless organisation, we manage all of our files and documents digitally
  • Where possible, we try to purchase refurbished devices to reduce environmental impact and prevent unnecessary waste
  • We make sure to recycle any obsolete electrical items, such as laptops and phones in the most sustainable way available
